En batteriløsning kan enkelt konfigureres slik at overforbruk hentes fra batteriene når det er behov. Batteriene vil lade når det er tilgjengelig effekt og lade ut når det er behov. Peakshaving kan også benyttes til kutte effekttoppene for å unngå høy nettleie eller behovet for å overdimensjonere anlegg/inntak.
